Information Requested:
Drawing S-101,Column Line A, where the footing needs to drop down. Won’t concrete piers need to be added at column line A for the column pads that show the column bearing directly on the pad?

Brent Powell on 02/02/2022 at 9:10am:
For bidding purposes, assume that the pier at grid 2.6 will be similar to detail C2/S302, the pier at grid 2.2 will be similar to detail A3/S302, and the remaining locations will be similar to detail A1/S302. Once a GC is selected and can confirm the depth/location of the existing retention chambers, appropriate pier details can be provided at that time.

Attention Bidders,

The architect has issued a clarification for footing depths near the underground detention system. Please see below.
I am not certain what to include in our proposal for the additional foundation work shown on the Addendum drawing S-101 where the foundation is along side the retention system. Per drawing C-9 I can see the bottom of the existing junction box is at elevation 196.6 and the proposed finish floor is at elevation 203.5. A potential depth of 6.9’ for the bottom of the system. what is unknown is the horizontal separation between the building and the system. Can a top of or bottom footing elevation be provided that we can all base our bid on? Than the cpst can adjusted with the low bidder once actual conditions are field verified.

Nick Spaziani on 02/03/2022 at 8:35am:
Worst case scenario the bottom of footing would match the bottom of the retention chamber @ -6.9’ – Bids should assume this depth. Once a bidder is selected, ALDI has agreed to allow a cost adjustment once actual conditions are verified.
