NC A&T Relocate Hines Lab 207 to Cherry 201 Greensboro NC

SCOPE OF WORK The Relocate Hines Lab 207 to Cherry 201 project will be constructed on NCA&T’s main campus in Greensboro, NC. The project will include the removal and relocation of two (2) existing benchtop islands from lab 207 in Hines Hall to lab 201 in Cherry Hall. Both benchtop islands have two (2) built-in lab sinks which will require new hot water, cold water, sanitary and vent piping. Additionally, an existing fume hood located in Hines Hall, lab 200, will be removed and relocated to Cherry Hall Lab 201. The fume hood will require new cold water, sanitary and vent piping. Also, a new exhaust fan serving the fume hood will be installed on the roof. Stainless steel duct will be routed up, through the third floor, to the location of the exhaust fan on the roof. A new chase will be constructed on the third floor to enclose the stainless-steel exhaust duct. The electrical scope includes providing power for the new exhaust fan and the relocated fume hood. Selective demolition of existing lights and receptacles will also take place in Cherry 201. New light fixtures will be provided in Cherry 201.

Lomax Construction, Inc. is requesting bids from certified DBE/MBE/WBE firms for the NC A&T State University Relocation of Hines Lab 207 to Cherry 201, Greensboro, NC. We are soliciting subcontractor bids for all trades listed by CSI Codes shown on the details page of your Invitation to Bid. Where appropriate Lomax will break down contracts into economically feasible units to facilitate MBE /WBE / DBE participation.

Important Notes:
All subs bidding Lomax Construction must have Workmen’s Compensation & General Liability Insurance and name Lomax Construction, Inc. as an additional insured prior to award of subcotract.

Subs/Vendors are responsible for reviewing entire set of bid documents prior to submission of bid.

Subs/Vendors: Please acknowledge receipt/review of addenda on your bid proposal. Please note exclusion or inclusion of sales tax as applicable to the project.

Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical Subs: Please include license # and classification on bid proposals. Please also indicate a percentage ADD for bid bond, as may be required.
