Project Description:
The project consists of constructing a single building that will house a potable water booster station and the electrical equipment panel and controls for both the water booster station and the wastewater lift station. The wastewater lift station is replacing an existing lift station on the site which must remain in service during construction until the new lift station is constructed and approved for operation by the FDEP. Once the new lift station is placed into operation the existing lift station must be dismantled and demolished as shown on the plans and described in the Contract Documents. The work consists of but is not limited to surveying; site work; site fill; building construction; purchase and installation of all mechanical and electrical equipment and instrumentation and controls; HVAC equipment; piping and valves; potable water booster pumps on concrete pedestals; excavation and construction of a new wastewater lift station; emergency generator with 1500 gallon fuel tank; motor control panels with VFD’s; stormwater pond and drainage piping; privacy wall; fencing and gate; reinforced concrete driveway aprons with concrete drainage culverts; asphalt driveways and parking area; and landscaping.
There are three separate sets of plans and one Technical Specification for the facilities to be constructed. The plans for the O’Hara Booster Station by Giffels-Webster Engineers, Inc. covers the construction of the building; the O’Hara Booster Station Site Plan by Giffels-Webster Engineers, Inc. covers the required site improvements; and the O’Hara Water Booster Station No. 10 and Wastewater Lift Station No. 23 by Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. covers the booster station and lift station construction. The Technical Specifications (Attachment 1) include all requirements for the construction of the facilities.
