DESCRIPTON OF WORK: Gymnasium HVAC for Horton Middle, Moncure, & J.S. Waters Schools
Moncure School & JS Waters School:
Base bid: At each gymnasium Install high efficiency exterior packaged heat pump with modulating gas reheat. Package units to have BACnet capability. Install fabric duct in each of the schools that matches the individual school colors (color selection will be provided). Each school's locker rooms and support spaces install Ductless mini-split system heat pumps; These areas are typically heated with electric wall heaters and have minimal ventilation provided with small individual exhaust fans. The locker room areas would be updated with central exhaust fan systems programmed to operate continuously during occupied hours. Screen wall to be provided to provide securityof packaged HVAC units. Alternate Bid #2a: Moncure School only to remove a buried oil tank and test soil to verify no contamination. Alternate Bid #2b: Moncure School only to provide unit price to remove/replace contaminated soil ($/CU-YD) if any soil tests to be contaminated. Each of these schools have the ability to vacate the gymnasium for one week during school to allow contractors to work inside. This week must be coordinated in advance with the owner. Outside of that week, all work must occur when children are not in school (holidays, work days, summer/winter break,or evening/weekend). If working during the school day, contractors must avoid heavy traffic times - 7:30-8:30 and 2:30-3:30. If working after the school day, start time is 3:30pm
